Last month, we shared our vision to be the financial control centre for every business. As part of this vision, we know it’s really important for business accounts to seamlessly connect with the tools you already use for your business.
In particular, you told us that accounting tools are really important. So we’re super excited that, from this week, you’ll be able to integrate your Monzo Business Account with Xero or FreeAgent!
We’ve heard that other accounting tools, are important to you too, which we’d love to work on in the future. In the meantime, you can still export a CSV file from your app, and upload it directly to your preferred accounting tool. And, we’re working on integrating other tools soon, including tools for payroll or for point of sale. You can see what’s coming soon on our ideas board for Business Banking, and tell us about your favourite business tools over on our community forum.
How to integrate Monzo Business with your accounting tools:
Tap your profile picture in the app (it's in the top left-hand corner)
Tap Connect your accounting tool and choose the one you use
Confirm that you're happy sharing your transaction data. You'll then be directed to a webpage where you’ll need to log in.
That’s it! Your transactions will begin to sync within 24 hours.
Just so you know, transactions won’t sync in real time for now - they’ll only sync once a day. But, we’re working hard to bring instant syncing really soon.
Help us make integrations even better
We’d love to hear your feedback on how it’s working - so we’ve set up a thread in our community forum for you to leave your feedback. If you’re having trouble with the integration, let us know over Monzo Chat (in your app), or by emailing [email protected].
Update: We launched our new business accounts, Monzo Business Lite and Monzo Business Pro, on 17th March 2020.
To connect your Monzo Business account with your accounting tool, you'll need to be a Business Pro customer. Learn more about what's included in each account here.
