How does the claims process work?

You’ll need to provide some details around your claim. These include:

  • What's your claim about?

  • What happened?

  • When did it happen?

  • What's the extent of the damage?

The more information you can give us, the easier it will be for your claim to be assessed. You can also upload photos and videos of the damage.

Sedgwick (Chubb’s claims handlers) aim to settle claims as quickly as possible however the time this takes will vary depending on the complexity of the claim. Once your settlement is agreed, we’ll pay this into your Monzo Current Account, minus your excess amount. If Sedgwick are organising the repairs or replacements on your behalf, you may need to pay the excess directly to the tradespeople/suppliers. If this is the case, Sedgwick will let you know the next steps when they update you about the outcome of your claim.

Rest assured, we’ll be on hand on to support you throughout your claim and answer any questions you may have. We'll keep you updated on the progress of your claim in your Monzo app, and Sedgwick will also send you regular updates too.
