Understand who is a Person with Significant Control
A person with significant control (PSC) normally owns 25% or more of the shares or voting rights in your business. Or they might be able to appoint or remove a majority of your directors.
Sometimes they’re called beneficial owners.
Verifying a Person with Significant Control
We might need to check the PSC’s in your business. It’s really important to send their ID if we ask for it, otherwise we might have to close your account.
We’ll need their:
valid ID, like a passport, full or provisional driving licence, national ID card or biometric residency permit
date of birth
country of residence
email address
And we’ll need you to tap and confirm they’ve agreed to sharing this info.
If the PSC is one of our customers Good news. We can verify them ourselves and you won’t need to do a thing.
