Setting up a Direct Debit

A Direct Debit lets an organisation collect a regular sum from your account. Generally, people use them for paying bills.

To set up a Direct Debit, update your bank details with the company you want to pay so that they have your Monzo account number and sort code.

When you set up a Direct Debit, it’ll take at least three days to show up in your Scheduled Payments. (If you can’t see it after a week, we recommend getting in touch with the company you want to pay.)

You'll need to share your account number and sort code with the company you want to pay. You can find your account number and sort code at the top of the Home tab, just beside your account balance.
