Contactless doesn't work
You need to activate your Monzo card in the app. It's rare, but sometimes contactless doesn't activate.
If your contactless isn’t working:
Check you’ve activated your card.
Try popping your card in the card machine and putting in your PIN. That should let you do contactless next time you pay.
If it’s still not working, you can order a new card. Here’s how:
Tap Home in your app’s menu bar.
Tap Freeze under your Monzo card (if you can't find this, swipe down on your list of payments).
Tap Replace .
If your card is damaged or isn’t working when you get it, we'll cover the cost of the replacement.
