Paying a cheque or cash deposit into an Under 16s account
As your child’s parent or guardian, you’re the main account holder. For this reason, you can't pay cheques in your child's name directly into an Under 16s account.
You also can't make cash deposits directly into an Under 16s account.

You can pay cheques in your name into your personal or joint account. You could then move the money to your Under 16s account.
